Sarah Hoban’s love for music was honed through years of piano lessons and participation in school choirs, including the West Aurora A Cappella Choir, under the direction of Sten Halfvarson. She has a degree in journalism from the University of Illinois, and studied photography at Columbia College while working as a magazine editor. Today, she’s a freelance writer and editor and works for a variety of nonprofit organizations, as well as publications ranging from Highlights for Children to Commercial Investment Real Estate. She is also author of Daily Life in Ancient and Modern Paris, a history of Paris for middle-graders.
