Kelly Grba is a conductor, vocalist, and teacher from Bolingbrook, Illinois. She is currently a choir director at Plainfield East High School, where she’s taught choir, music production, and music theory classes for the past four years. In addition to her curricular classes, Kelly also leads multiple extracurricular groups, including two treble madrigal ensembles, an intermediate treble chamber ensemble, and an “all-sing” treble a cappella group. Kelly joined St. Charles Singers in February 2022 and has loved each and every concert she’s been a part of.

Kelly graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Luther College (Decorah, IA) in 2020. While at Luther, Kelly was a member of the Nordic Choir under the direction of Andrew Last and first-year treble ensemble, Aurora, under the direction of Jennaya Robison. Kelly’s love of performing has taken her across the globe, including multiple domestic choir tours, an international tour to Germany and Czechia with Nordic Choir in 2018, and most recently, to Spain and Portugal while touring with St. Charles Singers in 2023. Kelly has studied voice with Catherine Caccavallo, Deborah Gover, and currently studies with Angela Presutti Korbitz. Outside of music, Kelly loves weight-lifting, going outside, exploring local coffee shops, and spending time with her family and friends.

Kelly is thrilled to be furthering her education and musicianship at Georgia State University beginning fall of 2024. She is pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Choral Conducting under Deanna Joseph.
