CeCe Glass is a versatile soprano acclaimed for her dynamic performances spanning both classical and musical theater repertoires.
Glass’s operatic credits include Adina in L’elisir d’amore, Despina in Così fan tutte, Sarah in Off Nights at the Sometimes Cafe, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Lola in Gallantry, Fiammetta in Prima Donna, Wrapper in Forever, and Athena in Arachne. Her work on the musical theater stage includes notable performances as Maureen in RENT, Lindsay in Godspell, and Mabel and Edith in The Pirates of Penzance.
She has appeared with ensembles and institutions such as Opera Omaha, Opera for the Young, Thompson Street Opera, Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company, Résonance, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lincoln Symphony Orchestra, Omaha Symphony Orchestra, and Carnegie Hall. She made her solo debut with the Lincoln Symphony in their Deck the Halls concert and premiered the role of Bibi in Daron Hagen’s opera 9/10: Love Before the Fall, released as a film in 2023.
As a concert soloist, Glass has been featured in major choral works, including Handel’s Messiah, Brahms’s Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Beethoven’s Mass in C, and Bach’s Cantata 129. She continues to build her presence as a liturgical musician and currently sings with St. John Cantius and other churches in and around Chicago. In addition, Glass serves as the Theater Director of Rootz, a children’s theater school.
Glass holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a Master of Music from Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts.
