AnDrea James is a professional singer and music educator with a gift for versatility and a passion for helping students flourish. She holds a Bachelors in Vocal Performance and German from Augustana College and a Masters in Vocal Performance from NIU.
She has worked with students for over 20 years through her private studio, at numerous high schools, Naugatuck Valley College in CT, Waubonsee Community College, and Northern Illinois University. She is currently adjunct faculty at Elmhurst University and the voice teacher at St. Charles North, St. Charles East and Geneva High Schools.
She spent a year studying German and singing professionally in the Stadttheater in Passau, Germany. She has an album of Spanish Art songs with world-renowned guitarist, Fareed Haque, and her genre-hopping versatility has also seen her record new jazz tunes for local composers, sing in rock bands around the Chicagoland area, and offer liturgical leadership at several local churches. She has been a member of the St. Charles Singers since 2012.
