Diane Herr

Diane Herr joined the St Charles Singers Board of Directors in 2011.  Diane has a broad history of consulting with and serving various not-for-profit boards.  Diane currently serves as a mangement consultant with Executive Service Corps after a successful career at Lucent Technologies, and she is also currently a partner with BTDT Consulting.  At Lucent, Diane held several senior leadership positions in marketing, new product introduction, customer service, e-business and research and development.  As a partner with BTDT Consulting, she provides clients with proven solutions to a broad range of business problems in the areas of:  managing change, corporate strategy, new product development, organizational diversity, training, leadership development, marketing, and e-business implementation.

Since joining ESC, Diane now applies this wide range of skills to enhance the effectiveness of nonprofits through consulting and coaching roles.  Examples of her ESC clients include:

  • Villa Park Public Library, Melrose Park Public Library, National University of Health Sciences Library, Aurora Public Library,
  • Itasca Park District, Oswegoland Park District, Naperville Park District,
  • Community House Hinsdale, El Valor, Hudson Academy Foundation, St. Charles Singers, Norris Cultural Arts Center, El Hogar, Sit Stay Read

She was previously on the Board of Directors of the Lupus Foundation of America, Illinois Chapter and has held leadership positions in religious organizations.

Diane has an M.S. in Management from Stanford University in California, and B.S. and M.S. in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She hold eight patents and has published papers in technical and marketing journals.  Diane has also been active in career mentoring, diversity awareness and specialized leadership training programs. 

*Immediate past board members have completed two consecutive three year terms and so, according to the bylaws, must step off the board for a minimum of one year.
