David has been a proud member of the St. Charles Singers since 2009. In addition to SCS, he currently enjoys performing choral music with the Grant Park Chorus and Cor Cantiamo. As an opera singer, David’s stage experience ranges from Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro to Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi to Barber’s A Hand of Bridge.
In addition to his singing career, David is an avid pianist, trumpeter, conductor, and teacher. He currently teaches vocal music at Lyons Township High School, and maintains a private lesson schedule of several voice and piano students at his home studio. He also serves as Music Director at Salem United Methodist Church in Barrington, Illinois. David holds music degrees from Illinois Wesleyan University and Roosevelt University.
A native of tiny Eitzen, Minnesota, David currently resides in Lake in the Hills, Illinois. Besides his endeavors in music, he enjoys traveling, playing chess, and fantasy sports leagues. David and his wife, Melissa, are proud parents of two young boys, Micah and Jonah.
