Valerie’s tenure with the St. Charles Singers dates back to its beginnings with a post college invitation from good friend and fellow singer, David Hunt.

Valerie graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Masters in Music Composition and Theory, with an emphasis in vocal music and piano accompanying. Post graduate work brought her to the public school forum, where she is a National Board Certified teacher of choral and general music. 

Highlights from years with the Singers include European tours, making music with John Rutter and Craig Hella Johnson, accompanying guest cellist Mathew Agnew, and sharing a piano bench with long-time SCS accompanist and good friend, Scott Stevenson.
