Laura began singing with St Charles Singers in 1990.  Laura was raised in Milford, Illinois.  Music was important in her household growing up.  Her mother taught piano to Laura, her sister and two brothers.  In order for all of them to practice there were two pianos in the house, one in the living room and one in the kitchen.  Since all four also played instruments other than piano there was lots of music happening in her home.

Laura is a graduate of the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana with a B.S. in Music Education.  She also holds a Master of Music degree from VanderCook College of Music.  Currently she is the Director of Choral Music at Glenbard North High School in Carol Stream, Illinois.

Laura is the assistant adult choir director at Elgin First United Methodist Church.  She also guest conducts school vocal and choral festivals and contests.
Her favorite musical period is 20^th century.

Laura is married to Mark and they live in Hanover Park, Illinois with their three children, Kyle , Kelly and Kevin.
