David has been a proud member of the St. Charles Singers since 2009. In addition to SCS, he has enjoyed performing choral music with the Grant Park Chorus and Chicago Master Singers. As an opera singer, David's stage experience ranges from Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro to Verdi's Falstaff to Barber's A Hand of Bridge.
In addition to his singing career, David is an avid piano accompanist, trumpeter, conductor, and teacher. He currently teaches choir at Wauconda Middle School and Matthews Middle School, and maintains a busy private lesson schedule of fifteen voice and piano students at his home studio. He also serves as Music Director at Salem United Methodist Church in Barrington, Illinois. David holds music degrees from Illinois Wesleyan University and Roosevelt University.
A native of tiny Eitzen, Minnesota, David currently resides in Lake in the Hills, Illinois. Besides his endeavors in music, he enjoys traveling, playing chess, and fantasy sports. David and his wife, Melissa, are proud parents of two young boys, Micah and Jonah.
